How much do you charge?

Prices mainly depend on the date, type of event, how many hours and its location. Other factors that determine price are the number of guests and package options. Have this information ready when you contact Joey V so you can receive an accurate price quote.

What type of music do you play?

Joey V plays music from the 40's to the Top 40's and will use his extensive knowledge to customize music according to the type of event and demographics of your guests. For example, the music at a sweet 16 or school dance will usually be much trendier than at a 50th wedding anniversary. Regardless of the type of event, Joey V plays only clean radio edited songs, which are FCC compliant.

Do you take requests?

Absolutely! Guests may request music from Joey V’s extensive library of songs. As long as time allows, every effort will be made to play what people want to hear. Like many other DJ’s, Joey V will screen out inappropriate requests and use discretion to determine whether or not playing a certain song will disrupt the party atmosphere.

Do you interact with the crowd, emcee and make announcements?

Joey V does not have a reputation of having a flamboyant personality, but does know how to skillfully motivate your guests and keep the party flowing with energy. Announcements and introductions will be made in a timely and appropriate manner.

Is your equipment professional grade?

I see many DJ's using laptops instead of CD's. What do you use?

Joey V uses both CD’s and a laptop equipped with a professional DJ program designed to organize and store music into high-quality MP3 files for quick access. The laptop is used strictly for music and only connects to the Internet for software updates. This means less exposure to viruses and spyware which causes the majority of PC’s to crash.

Can I see you play somewhere before deciding to hire you?

You are welcome to attend Joey V’s next scheduled public performance; however Joey V does not invite potential customers to someone else’s private party. Aside from the growing liability and privacy concerns, it is improper to conduct business while on someone else’s time.

Is it possible to donate your services?

Joey V realizes that giving back to the community is an important part of doing business and brings good Karma. Please inquire about your charity and cause along with proof of tax-exempt status.

If you are unable to perform, do you have a backup DJ?

Joey V has maintained a 100% perfect attendance rating and sticks to the old adage, “The show must go on!” However, if an emergency situation arises, Joey V has business relationships with several other DJ’s who can act as a replacement.
